About Us
Amoskeag Bookkeeping Services is owned and operated by Denise O’Rourke. A graduate of New Hampshire College (now called Southern New Hampshire University), Denise has over 25 years of bookkeeping experience serving small to medium-sized businesses. She provides professional bookkeeping services to a variety of businesses and industries, including but not limited to health and medical, building trades, and nonprofits. Denise is a certified online QuickBooks Pro Advisor and a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.

Denise’s clients view her as a trusted advisor who goes above and beyond the everyday requirements of “compliance” bookkeeping. She has helped many small companies through the startup process, guiding them as they manage the challenges of running a business. Denise genuinely cares about the success of her clients and ensures they always have access to the most accurate, up-to-date financial information needed to make important business decisions.
A Tradition of Hard Work and Strong Business Ethics
Our company gets its name from the Amoskeag (am-uh-skayg) textile mills, which operated in Manchester, New Hampshire in the early nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Both of Denise’s parents worked in the mills, and she is honored to carry on her family’s legacy of hard work, loyalty, trustworthiness, and strong business ethics.
Giving Back
Amoskeag Bookkeeping Services is committed to giving back to the communities we serve. Denise is proud to have supported the efforts of many organizations and programs, including Shoes That Fit, Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains, and Project Linus. Currently, Denise is training one of her beloved pets to be certified as a therapy dog, which will visit local nursing homes, hospitals, and schools.
